About Me

Hello! I’m Elizabeth! Nice to meet you! I am the owner and founder of Hack Pack Learning. I have been teaching computer technology for over a decade. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology and Engineering Education from Brigham Young University where I learned the basics of computer science, electronics, engineering design, graphic arts, video editing and more. In 2019 I decided to specialize in computer science education after reading the book, The Moment of Lift, by Melinda Gates. In this book Melinda Gates writes:

“It’s frustrating to me that women are still facing hostile cultures in many fields today, and I’m especially upset that these issues are keeping women out of the tech industry. These are such exciting jobs. They’re fun. They’re innovative. They pay well. They have a growing impact on our future, and there are more of them every year. But it’s more than that. Tech is the most powerful industry in the world. It’s creating the ways we will live our lives. If women are not in tech, women will not have power.”

I believe that both women and men belong in the tech industry. When children have positive exposure to computer science they learn that coding is creative, fun and exciting. At Hack Pack Learning we give young people the skills to impact the world. I can’t wait to start this journey with you and your child!
